Profile

Can play either flank in midfield, and even right back. Covers a lot of ground, but with modest quality on the ball that shows up as imprecise passing. Has a powerful shot he uses often, and is a decent header of the ball despite his lack of height.

Career to date (as of mid-1997)

Product of Talleres de Córdoba's youth system — the same club his father "Pancho" played for. Debuted in Primera on 24 February 1991 against Independiente; missed just 2 matches across 5 tournaments there and scored at least once in every one of them. A fan favorite until his 1993 move to Belgrano, Talleres' most hated rival — two unproductive tournaments there before a transfer to San Lorenzo for Apertura '94. That tournament was the fewest matches he'd ever played in his career, just 9, with 4 sendings-off. Won the Clausura '95 title the following season. In Clausura '97 he filled every hole the team needed — both midfield flanks, and right back when Escudero was injured — performing well in every role. Played 16 matches, 1 goal.
