2.8
Already in LOG_Reference. Ajax / PSV / Feyenoord fixtures: 3.2 — proposed, not yet in LOG_Reference. The traditional "big three" — AZ Alkmaar's recent European form (2024 UECL final) arguably earns a spot too; left out here rather than assumed, your call.

Liga Portugal
🇵🇹 Portugal
2.7
Already in LOG_Reference as "Primeira Liga." Porto / Benfica / Sporting / Braga fixtures: 3.2 — proposed, not yet in LOG_Reference. All four play regular continental football; the rest of the division mostly doesn't — the gap here is wider than in any Big 5 league, hence a bigger boost than the Big 5's +0.1/+0.2.

LeagueLOGRationaleConfidence
EFL Championship
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England
2.7
No coefficient exists for this tier — UEFA and IFFHS rankings only track top-flight/continental performance. Placed by reputation: widely regarded as the strongest 2nd division in world football, deep squads carrying parachute-payment money, several sides a level above a typical smaller UEFA top flight. Level with the confirmed Liga Portugal, just under Eredivisie.
Low — no direct source
2. Bundesliga
🇩🇪 Germany
2.5
No coefficient exists for this tier. Best average attendance of any 2nd division anywhere in the world, well-run club infrastructure — but thinner squad spending than the Championship. Structural estimate only.
Low — no direct source
Serie B (Serie BKT)
🇮🇹 Italy
2.3
No coefficient exists for this tier. Carries real pedigree — usually several recently-relegated Serie A clubs — but financially unstable for a chunk of the division, and the gap between top and bottom is wide. Structural estimate only.
Low — no direct source
LaLiga Hypermotion (Segunda División)
🇪🇸 Spain
2.2
No coefficient exists for this tier. Decent technical level and several clubs with recent top-flight experience, but budgets and attendances trail both the Championship and 2. Bundesliga. Structural estimate only.
Low — no direct source
Ligue 2 (Ligue 2 BKT)
🇫🇷 France
2.0
No coefficient exists for this tier. Weakest of the Big 5 second divisions — cut to 18 clubs, smallest budgets and attendances of the five, most development-focused. Structural estimate only.
Low — no direct source

Flagging this up front: unlike every other row in this glossary, these five aren't anchored to anything — no UEFA coefficient covers second divisions (it only scores continental-competition performance, which these leagues don't generate), and no IFFHS "strongest league" ranking includes them either. These five numbers are reputation-based placement, full stop. Don't let them anchor a client-facing card until you've sanity-checked them yourself — this is exactly the kind of unsourced figure the verification protocol exists to catch.

Same method as the section above: league base plus a structural boost, not a sourced ranking. Fourteen new derbies — two Argentina, two Mexico, three Brazil, seven across the Big 5. Attendance records and general football reputation informed the ranking between derbies within the same country; none of this is footage-graded the way an actual match would be.

What Needs Your Sign-Off

Confirmed rows (10 total, incl. MLS): already in your official table, shown here for reference only — nothing to approve.
High/Medium confidence rows (~30): built from a real source each — UEFA coefficient, IFFHS ranking, or an existing value already live on one of your cards. Reasonable to approve as a batch, adjust individual rows you know better than I do.
Low confidence rows (~16): Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Albania, Georgia, North Macedonia, Northern Ireland, Estonia, Panama, El Salvador, Hong Kong, plus the 5 new Big 5 second-tier rows (Championship, 2. Bundesliga, Serie B, LaLiga Hypermotion, Ligue 2). No current source behind any of them — don't let these anchor a client-facing number until you've either confirmed them yourself or asked me to dig further on a specific one. The second-tier rows are a different kind of unsourced than the rest of this list: those eleven are missing data for a system that otherwise applies to them (a coefficient exists, it's just not captured); the 5 second-tier rows have no system to plug into at all — reputation-based placement only.

New this pass — big-club fixture tiers (~3 rows): Porto/Benfica/Sporting/Braga (3.2), Ajax/PSV/Feyenoord (3.2), Celtic/Rangers non-derby (3.1). Same idea as the Big 5's existing "Top 6 fixtures" notes, extended to three leagues where the gap between the big clubs and everyone else is much wider — so the boost is bigger too (+0.4/+0.5 vs. the Big 5's +0.1/+0.2). Unsourced, same as the rest of this pass — sanity-check before use. Belgium and Denmark are the two other confirmed-table leagues with a similar big-club gap; didn't touch them without you saying so first.

Once you approve a version of this table, I'll go back and fix the Chalá card's Paraguay value, and it becomes the reference for every future cross-league tab instead of me re-deriving numbers card by card.
