HistorialComenzo el profesionalismo junto a los grandes en 1931. En 1934 con el objeto de reducir equipos, fue obligado a fusionarse con Atlanta, participando con el nombre de Atlanta-Argentinos Juniors. En 1937 descendio por unica vez en la historia. Tardo 18 anos en volver. Lo hizo en 1956 y se quedo para siempre. En 1980 (Metropolitano) se acerco por primera vez al titulo: fue subcampeon. Pero en el Metropolitano de 1984 y en el Nacional de 1985 se dio el gran gusto: ganar dos campeonatos seguidos. Tiene un honor muy especial: le dio al futbol del mundo a Diego Maradona, quien jugo en el club hasta 1980. En 1986 gano la Copa Libertadores y al ano siguiente la Interamericana.
