Profile

Rated as an extremely reliable, agile goalkeeper with very few weaknesses in his game, per the source, when given a run of starts.

Career to date (as of mid-1997)

Debuted for Rosario Central on 22 February 1992. Missed 8 months in late 1994 with an ankle injury sustained in training, returning as the hero of Central's 1995 Copa Conmebol final win over Atlético Mineiro on penalties. River signed him for what the source calls a bargain fee of $350,000, though he initially could only play Copa Libertadores matches, since the club could register just two reinforcements for the Clausura '96 league campaign (River picked Medina Bello and Escudero instead). Started in goal for River's 1996 Intercontinental Cup final against Juventus. Played for Argentina's U-20 side at the 1987 Youth Championship of the Americas alongside Fernando Cáceres, Carlos MacAllister, Hugo Maradona and Fernando Redondo, then went to the 1988 U-20 South American championship and world qualifying.
